A nonprofit lead by Founder and Executive Director, Laurel Botsford, we are committed to researching, developing and delivering training with the most up-to-date group, age and culture-appropriate information. We present for schools, youth and adult powered clubs, businesses, faith establishments, hotels, county offices; We collaborate with our anti-trafficking partners extending our joint scope of influence; and We host community events inviting Survivors, law enforcement, service providers, and those providing legal services to speak about their areas of expertise alongside our Prevention Before Harm; all with the aim of protecting your community and ending human trafficking.

You can join our webinar and hear and speak with Laurel on April 27th, 2026 at 6 PM.  Invited by the FBI, she is a former Citizen’s Academy attendee and an Alumni since her graduation in 2019.  We welcome everyone to this opportunity to learn more about such a difficult topic, so invite friends, family and co-workers.

What a pleasure to present again for the FBISFCAAA.  Great comments and great questions from the 25 attendees.  Made the slide deck available to all attendees, with an extra slide answering a question I did not have at my fingertips during the webinar

2021.01.20 – “January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month,” by the
FBI San Francisco Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association – FBISFCAAA, everywhere via Zoom.

Reaching out to all Citizen’s Academy Alumni, bringing human trafficking out-of-the-shadows through prevention and awareness education from its various but connected angles: enlightening, informational, empowering.

2020.01.23 – “Understanding Effective Collaboration” with Dr. Kirsten Foot, expert in the field of collaboration and specializing in the problems of collaboration around the crime of human trafficking. Again, we headed to Elks Lodge #1108 in San Rafael to learn what we can do better to end human trafficking.

What an engaging training! Kirsten guided everyone to take a good look at where collaboration fails between and within agencies, and then brings to light imaginative solutions.

2019.01.24 – National Slavery & Human Trafficking Prevention Month – “Survival Tools Against Sex Traffickers and Internet Safety,” with the California Federation of Women’s Clubs and Wisdom International: Help2Others, Alameda, California.

Great opportunity to present on human trafficking for this California Federation of Women’s Clubs. A warm welcome, great discussions, and feelings of camaraderie as we individually and collaboratively do our best to enhance the lives of others.

2016.09.12 – “Luring Children into Sex Trafficking – the Medical Response,” hosted by the SRF Diversity Council with Shared Hope International Ambassador, Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center, San Rafael, California.
