TRAINING - We Match Your Needs

Wisdom International offers prevention education against human trafficking for individuals, clubs, schools, faith groups, and we regularly host ½ day and ¾ day Community events in collaboration with our Partner Experts in their fields.

PREVENTION BEFORE HARM

Informing you below on the full gambit of efforts to keep your family safe and secure.

Be sure to also visit our ‘Past Events Galleries’ under our ‘What We Do’ tab.

Here are the types of training we offer. And if you don’t find what you need, contact us and tell us what you have in mind. We will tell you honestly if we can or cannot do it!

Public Training

Rotary Clubs - public

The Rotary Club of Terra Linda has sponsored two District 5150 events for us open to the public stretching from Marin - San Francisco - San Mateo Counties; and individual Clubs invite us regularly to speak. All events draw on Rotary's spirit of 'Service Above Self’ to help protect the community against this crime.

Elks Lodges

Generously donating their Lodge for our events, Elks Lodge #1108 in San Rafael hosted one of our first events and has never stopped. A total of nine events in nine years (one year an uneventful COVID year) they have extended invitations to the surrounding communities in support of our Prevention Before Harm education.

Libraries

One-off presentations or a series of ever-deepening events, we search continually for the best way to educate the community. Starting with the basics, and moving through the hidden nuances about human trafficking, your local library is an excellent choice for continuing education.

Office of Education

Many thanks to the Marin County Office of Education that has hosted several of our community events, allowing us to concentrate on bringing our partner Survivors, law enforcement officers, victim service and legal service providers to speak about their areas of expertise.

Hotels

Labor Traffickers and Sex Traffickers operate in and around hotels, motels, B&Bs, SROs, and private homes, and everything in-between, so training these establishments is important in multiple ways. Signs to watch for and how to best react are a large part of our trainings.

Private Training

Schools, Classrooms

Middle school and High school level students are the highest age groups targeted for recruitment, so these are among the most important venues for human trafficking prevention education. See AB 1227 - CA Schools.

Home School

Prefer to take care of your own children’s education? We will train you in this difficult subject, then you decide what is right for your children, with or without our continued guidance.

Student Clubs, Interact

Student clubs often revolve around important social issues teaching responsibility, opening awareness, developing cognitive abilities, and encouraging proper action, all important if they or their friend is targeted and needs help.

Rotary Clubs - private

Tell us your timeframe, we will deliver our tailor-made presentation for your club. We have experience at multiple individual Rotary Clubs, several for the second time, and have brought in the largest crowds as keynote speaker and in breakout sessions for regional and multi-state conferences.

Tribal Associations

Indigenous students are integrated into CA schools, so everything about prevention education applies to them. In addition, they have the horrific problem of missing and murdered indigenous people and may also have lost family members while facing illusive justice [See MMIWG2].

Universities

Like middle and high school aged targets, university age young adults are contacted too. Basically, if a trafficker believes they can sell your ‘body’, you are an enticing piece of merchandise for them. Learning the signs of sex and labor trafficking will help you to be prepared.

Citizen’s Academy

If your county or city has a Citizen’s Academy with the Sheriff, Police or FBI, we are ready for you. We have trained these socially alert citizens on several occasions on human trafficking and on gangs, increasing their personal awareness and adding a level of protection to their communities.

County Office

We have had the honor of training several Marin, Alameda and San Francisco County organizations working with at-risk children and children involved with the justice system. Referrals work well: a Rotary presentation resulted in training the staff of CASA-Marin. Together let’s create what is best for you.

Consulate, Embassy

Bring your organization’s ‘major players’ together and let’s cover the issues of special interest for them and you. A training we provided for the Consulate General of México in San Francisco opened the door to a year-long initiative for the Diocese of Oakland and its Parishes. Let’s talk!

Faith Organizations

Human trafficking arouses our passion, and Passion moves us to act. Faith-based organizations are some of the best advocates for this reason. For individual establishments, entire districts and, via Zoom, for multi-country events spanning the globe, we provide for communities large and small, alongside Archbishops, Sisters, and You.

Social/Philanthropy Clubs

Tell us your passion and philanthropic motivations, we will deliver human trafficking education to inspire and meet your needs. Your subsequent actions backed by solid knowledge will give your club maximum effectiveness against this crime. Let us help.

Medical Establishments

Medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, dentists, assistants, and receptionists, are on the front line of defense when it comes to interrupting human trafficking in progress. Training tailored to your ‘windows of opportunity’ can help identify victims and potential traffickers.

Private Home

We always hear, “Human trafficking… that’s scary.” Education is empowering, and while children may be learning in school, parents, siblings, and all family members also need to know about human trafficking. If one of our community events is not in your comfort zone, we will come to your home for a ‘family-on-one’ or a ‘one-on-one’ presentation.

Individual

Want to learn on your own? Not a problem. Teaching one person is just as important to us as teaching one thousand. Perhaps you want to get involved! We will train you, guide you with your presentations, and still be here when you are on your own and you have questions.

Group of Friends

Do you and your friends discuss important social issues perhaps over a monthly dinner to learn about and share ideas from your hearts? If human trafficking is on your list, give us a nod. The complexities of this crime could warrant several of your meetings!
